Take the worry out of buying a used caravan or motorhome with our comprehensive pre-purchase inspection and report.
Our comprehensive inspection service will provide you with a report on the condition of the caravan or the habitation section of a motorhome that you are considering purchasing. If you are interested in purchasing a caravan but are unsure what to look for this service will provide peace of mind.
We can offer 3 levels of inspection:
BRONZE
A basic inspection of road worthiness aimed at establishing if the caravan can be towed away should you decide to purchase it. The following areas will be inspected and a report provided.

Parking brake – overrun actuation and recoil.

Jockey Wheel security.

Safety latch / catch on coupling.
-
Emergency braking system (breakaway cable).
-
Raise caravan/ motorhome to check condition, age and suitability of tyres.
-
Check wheels freely rotate and that bearings are not noisy.
-
Wheel bolt torque settings.
-
12n lights and reflectors.
-
Check all doors, windows and hatches close securely.
-
Check all other body parts and attachments are secure.
SILVER
An intermediate inspection, including the same checks as Bronze but also includes the following extras:
Gas System
-
Gas tightness test in accordance with UKLPG guidance 14.

Check security of gas bottle straps.
Electrical 240v
-
Hook up unit and mechanical test at RCD electrical safety trip switch.
Body, shell and floor
-
Damp test noting down any adverse readings on check sheet report.
-
Check for floor delamination.
12 Volt
-
Check charging circuit.
GOLD
An advanced inspection, including the same checks as Bronze and Silver, but also includes the following extras:

Issue a general condition statement.

Offer estimate for repairs needed to correct faults.
Gas System
-
Gas tightness test in accordance with UKLPG guidance 14.
-
Check security of gas bottle straps.
-
Gas safety certificate.
Electrical 240v
-
Hook up unit and mechanical test at RCD electrical safety trip switch.
-
Test all 240 volt sockets.
-
Test ampere functionality of 240v appliances.
-
Check earth bonding.
Body, shell and floor
-
Damp test.
-
Check for floor delamination.
-
Issue full damp inspection report.
12 Volt
-
Check charging circuit.
-
Check 12v functionality and fridge.
